The 2018 Old Coach Road Nelson Rosé comes from our Brightwater vineyard blocks. The Brightwater Vineyard vines are grown in an extremely stony area of the vineyard where water and nutrient levels are low. This helps us to restrict the plants vigour and to crop at low levels. To further enhance the aromatics, leaves were removed to allow light penetration and air movement around the fruiting zone.
We were pleased to blend a Rosé for our Old Coach Road 2018 vintage. Rosé is such a refreshing and crisp wine, perfect to sip and enjoy on those beautiful sunny afternoons.
The 2018 Old Coach Road Rosé has bright berry and marshmallow notes together with lovely creamy characters. The palate has hints of stone-fruit and berries.
Enjoy sipping on those sunny days.
“It is nicely lifted on the nose showing ripe cherry, cranberry, peach and lemon zest with a touch of spice note. The palate is succulent and fruit expressive, delivering bright fruit intensity backed by smooth mouthfeel and bright acidity, finishing juicy and lively. At its best: now to 2020.”
