In 1993, Seifried Vineyard Restaurant and Function Centre opened at the Rabbit Island Vineyard site. Since opening it has hosted many weddings, seminars and other functions in a serene, rural environment – the perfect spot for wine and food to be enjoyed together!
Now known as ‘Petite Fleur at Seifried Estate’, the restaurant business is today leased and run by Horst Wellmeyer and Justine Robertson. The beautiful leafy garden and open fire in the dining room make it a fabulous venue to enjoy wonderful food and Seifried wines in the peaceful vineyard surroundings. Just in time for the 1996 harvest, the Seifried winery operations moved to the family’s brand new, purpose built winery complex adjacent to the restaurant at their Rabbit Island Vineyard. This move was essential for the continued growth of the business. With much more space it has been a great step for the on-going evolution of the growing winery and the various brands.
